Renegades Send Los Angeles Home with 3-1 Loss
|
Lake Wylie pitcher John Mannon did his part in helping his team defeat the Los Angeles Angels, 3-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Dusty Crostic got the save, his 26th in 36 chances. With the victory, the Renegades upped their record to 66-57.
Mike Fowler took Los Angeles hurler Tim McLin deep in the bottom of the seventh. His solo home run put the Renegades on top, 2-1. In all, Fowler had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Anyone who says he's not out there thinking about personal accomplishments is not telling the truth," Fowler said later.
