The Baltimore Orioles racked up a win at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, bumping off the River Hills Rockets, 6-3. Perry Sands, who started for Baltimore, pitched effectively for his team. In 8 innings, Sands surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 0. He allowed 3 runs. Aaron Delgado notched his 32nd save in 38 chances.
Baltimore took a 5-3 lead on Jose Griego's 32nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Griego hit in the bottom of the eighth, left River Hills pitcher Matt Wood visibly frustrated.
"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Griego told the Baltimore Bulletin.
The first-place Orioles have won 4 in a row.
