Renegades Pull Out Late Win, 8-7
Renegades Field was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Lake Wylie Renegades and Colorado Rockies.

The Colorado Rockies got a superb performance from catcher Will Pender, but the Lake Wylie Renegades still won the game, 8-7. Pender was 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Picking up the save was 23-year old right-handed pitcher Ken Miller.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Aca Subasic came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Colorado pitcher Ed Paulino, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Lake Wylie on top, 8-7.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Subasic said.

Colorado drops to 3-10.
