The Atlanta Braves downed the River Hills Rockets, 5-0, at River Hills Grounds. Atlanta pitcher Jose Velazquez had a scintillating performance. Velazquez picked up the win for Atlanta, going 7.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. River Hills, with the loss, is 4-6.

Atlanta used a clutch at-bat from Jason Bearer to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Braves ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said River Hills manager Blake Wheeler.
