Braud Slugs Blue Jays to 11-5 Win
The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the River Hills Rockets, 11-5, in part because of catcher Armando Braud. Braud was 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Blue Jays. Bill Parsley earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4.2 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. The slumping Rockets have lost 8 straight.

Braud had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the sixth, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Blue Jays went on to win.

"We're not winning games right now," said River Hills manager Blake Wheeler. "But I'm not going to denigrate the effort by the guys."
