The Washington Nationals picked up a win at Nationals Park, knocking off the River Hills Rockets, 2-1. On the mound for Washington was left-hander Jose Rosales. He played a key role in the triumph. John Murray picked up the save for Washington, his 2nd of the year. River Hills falls to 0-8.

Washington first baseman Danny Heathershaw contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a cutter to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 10th hit of the season and put the Nationals ahead, 2-0.

"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Rosales.
