A 3-RBI performance from catcher Gregg Blackketter, who is tied for 6th in the NL with a .933 OPS, led the Lake Wylie Renegades to a win over the Boston Red Sox, 6-2. After today's action, Lake Wylie sits at 42-30, while Boston falls to 32-39.

The Renegades got a big boost from right fielder Alex Alcantar who had a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the first inning off Red Sox hurler Ren-qing Xian. It was his 43rd RBI of the season and put Lake Wylie on top, 1-0.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Adam Childs.
