Mets Earn Win with Late Rally
Behind a solid performance from shortstop Edwin Davila, the New York Mets defeated the River Hills Rockets, 6-5. Davila went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Mets. New York reliever Mike Valero was the winner. His record is now 3-3. The losing pitcher was Justin Russ. New York raised its record to 37-33 with the win.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With New York trailing 5-3, Davila jumped on a fastball from fireballing right-hander Justin Russ and hit a 3-run home run to right-center. With one swing, the Mets had a walk-off win.

"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Davila said.
