Big Day for Beck: Swats 5 Hits Saturday, July 11th , 2026 Danny Beck was at the head of a Baltimore (FCL) hit parade at Citi Field. The center fielder went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Orioles Black to a nice 12-5 victory over the New York N (FCL) Mets. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Beck told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Mets skipper Isaiah Long said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Danny Beck singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jerry Silva in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 8th. In 19 games this season, Beck has batted at a .518 pace with 43 hits and 5 home runs. |
