Marlins Hudson Smacks 5 Hits
Tuesday, July 7th , 2026
It was a sensational day at the plate for Josh Hudson as he led the charge to a nifty 20-9 win over the Tigers West. The Miami (FCL) catcher was pure misery for the Detroit W (FCL) pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 7 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Hudson put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Daniel Everett, manager for the Tigers West, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Josh Hudson singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Bill Hafferty in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
For the year, Hudson has hit .364 with 3 home runs, 19 RBIs and scored 17 runs.
