Briggs on Fire, 5-for-6 Against Boston (FCL) Monday, July 6th , 2026 It was a sensational day at the plate for Ryan Briggs as he led the charge to a nifty 16-10 win over the Red Sox. The Tampa Bay (FCL) first baseman was pure misery for the Boston (FCL) pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Briggs put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Mike Yinger, manager for the Red Sox, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Ryan Briggs flied out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Michael Ford in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Alejandro Arroyo in the 8th. To date this year, Briggs is batting .412 with 9 home runs. |
