Jesse Brown of the Houston (FCL) Astros had one of those moments when he went 5-for-7 at the plate in his team's 25-14 win over the Detroit W (FCL) Tigers West at Tigers West Grounds. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 18-year-old left fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Jesse Brown doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. So far this year, Brown has no home runs and a .327 batting average. |
