5-Hit Game for Patrick
Sunday, June 21st , 2026
Toronto (FCL) right fielder Charles Patrick had a fantastic day at the plate at Rogers Centre, knocking out 5 hits and pacing his club to a win, 12-1.
"It was like I was hitting Little League pitching," Patrick said after his 5-for-5 performance against the Braves. "No offense meant to Atlanta (FCL), but it was like I was back in little league again -- I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid park, it was Rogers Centre."
After the game, his manager elaborated on the right fielder's improvements, saying Patrick spent the offseason trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball.
"That's what I'm trying to do," Patrick said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it."
Charles Patrick singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Willie Borrego in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
Thus far in 2026, Patrick is hitting .500 with 2 home runs, 5 RBIs, 6 runs scored and has compiled a .538 OBP.
