Mets 2 Move on to Round 3 Tuesday, September 15th , 2026 New York N (DSL) designated hitter Ryan McMillan couldn't hide his reaction when asked about being named MVP of the Round 2. "It's a nice honor," he said, failing to suppress a wide smile. The trophy was presented to McMillan moments after his club eliminated the Chicago N (DSL) Cubs 2 to advance to the Round 3. New York N (DSL) won the final game by a score of 9-7 at Cubs 2 Park and took the series 4-1. "We won the series and that's the main thing," McMillan said. "They were a tough team and we didn't want to take anything for granted." For the series, McMillan hit .545 with a .565 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 5 runs. "He was tough to stop and that's a big reason they're there and we're here," said a dejected Chicago N (DSL) manager Dustin Norem. The New York N (DSL) Mets 2 don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Kansas City (DSL) Royals 1 - Colorado (DSL) Rockies 1 series. Kansas City (DSL) leads the series 3 games to 1. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes. |
