Collins Bashes 5 Base Hits Wednesday, July 15th , 2026 Bill Collins exploded for a barrage of base hits at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The Los Angeles (DSL) second baseman had a field day in his team's 8-6 triumph over the Los Angeles (DSL) Angels, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Collins must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Bill Collins singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th and singled in the 8th. This year, Collins is hitting at a .474 pace with 2 home runs and 9 RBIs. He has played in 9 games and scored 9 times. |
