Maes Batters Detroit (DSL) for 5 Hits Tuesday, July 14th , 2026 Juan Maes put on a hitting clinic at Tigers 2 Ballpark, spraying hits all over the ballpark and lashing Detroit (DSL) pitchers for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. However, the offensive onslaught wasn't enough for the Detroit (DSL) Tigers 1, who still fell, 11-10. "Sometimes I try to pull the ball too much, so today I just went with the pitch," Maes told reporters after the game. "It's great to get 5 hits, but it would have been nicer to win the ballgame. too." Juan Maes struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jose Vargas in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Ighlas Olubayo in the 9th. A look at his season totals shows Maes with 12 home runs, .414 BA, .466 OBP, 32 RBIs and 34 runs scored. |
