New York N (DSL)'s Burrell Goes Ballistic with 6 Hits
Thursday, July 9th , 2026
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 6 hits in a day.
Chris Burrell is one of those rare few, as he went 6-for-6 against the Boston (DSL) Red Sox 1 at Ballpark of New York N (DSL). The monster effort from the 19-year-old second baseman helped the New York N (DSL) Mets 2 get the win, 11-1.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Red Sox 1 manager Sean Self. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Chris Burrell singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
In the current season, Burrell has put up a .429 batting average with 24 hits, 3 home runs, 12 RBI and scored 13 runs.
