Myers Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, July 8th , 2026 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Sean Myers -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at St. Louis (DSL) Grounds and paced the 13-1 Cardinals Red win over the Cleveland (DSL) Guardians 2. After his dynamite batting performance, the St. Louis (DSL) first baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Sean Myers singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. So far this season, Myers has put up a .347 batting average with 25 hits, no home runs and 9 RBIs. |
