Davalos Tags Diamondbacks 1 for 5 Hits Saturday, July 4th , 2026 5 times is the charm -- at least for Jorge Davalos. The Pittsburgh (DSL) Pirates 2 second baseman tore up the Arizona (DSL) Diamondbacks 1 to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Pirates 2 Park. The offensive onslaught from Davalos powered the 12-7 Pirates 2 win. "Davalos was a tough out," Arizona (DSL) manager Ryan Brimm said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Jorge Davalos singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 7th. Davalos is hitting .348 this year with no home runs, 7 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 31 hits in 89 at-bats, 5 walks and a .383 on-base percentage. Davalos has played in 21 games. |
