Erickson Keeps Hit Streak Alive Friday, July 3rd , 2026 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Mike Erickson did it again, bashing 2 hits in the contest at Orioles 2 Park. For the last 20 games in a row, the 19-year-old second baseman has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Baltimore (DSL) Orioles 2 beat the Miami (DSL) Marlins, 7-5. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Erickson told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Baltimore (DSL) clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Mike Erickson walked in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th and singled in the 6th. This season, Erickson has hit at a .451 clip with 8 RBIs, 1 home runs and 10 runs scored. |
