Leitzel Big Deal in Los Angeles (DSL): Hits for Cycle Tuesday, June 30th , 2026 At Angel Stadium of Anaheim, Scott Leitzel led Los Angeles (DSL) to a win, 12-11, over the Detroit (DSL) Tigers 1 by hitting for the cycle, one of baseball's more difficult feats. "Usually the triple is the hardest one to get, but I was most worried about the homer today because the ball wasn't carrying," Leitzel said later. "When I took it deep, I was expecting the ball to die on the warning track, so it was sweet seeing the ump give me the signal to circle the bases." In addition to going 4-for-6, Leitzel chalked up 3 RBI and scored 4 runs in an exceptional performance. Scott Leitzel doubled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Jeremy Oakley in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. Thus far this year, Leitzel has hit .522 with 2 home runs and 7 RBIs. |
