Espinoza Hits for Cycle Against New York N (DSL) Thursday, June 25th , 2026 Tony Espinoza did just about everything for the Baltimore (DSL) Orioles 1 -- except win the game. The first baseman had a cycle wasted in his club's loss to the New York N (DSL) Mets 1. Despite Espinoza going 4-for-6 with 2 runs batted in and 4 runs scored, the Orioles 1 were defeated, 20-18. "The guys feel like they let Tony down," Baltimore (DSL) manager Eric Oliver said later. "He did all anyone could ask and we couldn't hold up our end of the bargain." Tony Espinoza hit a solo-shot off Carlos Jimenez in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. This year, Espinoza has collected a .271 batting average to date with 13 hits in 48 at-bats, 7 RBIs, 1 home run and scored 8 times. He has played in 14 games. |
