Smith Goes on Rampage Against Phillies White Thursday, June 25th , 2026 Robert Smith exploded for a barrage of base hits at Phillies White Field. The Texas (DSL) shortstop had a field day in his team's 10-7 triumph over the Philadelphia (DSL) Phillies White, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Smith must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Robert Smith singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. So far this season, Smith is hitting .463 with 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has 25 hits in 54 at-bats and a .491 OBP. |
