Guerrero Smacks 5 Hits for Phillies White Monday, June 22nd , 2026 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Salvador Guerrero is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Philadelphia (DSL) Phillies Red at Phillies Red Park. The monster effort from the 20-year-old catcher helped the Philadelphia (DSL) Phillies White get the win, 8-3. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Phillies Red manager Chris Hanson. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Salvador Guerrero singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. |
