Cannon Ballers Move on to Round 2 Saturday, September 19th , 2026 The Kannapolis Cannon Ballers are off to the Round 2 after an exciting Round 1 triumph. Kannapolis downed the Salem Red Sox, but needed the entire series to do so, with a 6-2 win tonight at Cannon Ballers Field wrapping up the series 4-3. "It's every guy in this room that made this happen. Without us all pulling in the same direction, we don't win this series," said Jaden Dixon, who earned MVP honors for a standout offensive series. Dixon put up a .444 with a .531 on-base percentage in the series. He also had 2 home runs, drove in 5 runs and scored 6 runs himself. The Kannapolis Cannon Ballers will play against the Carolina Mudcats in the next round. Carolina won their series against the Augusta GreenJackets 4 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
