Mudcats Win Round 1 Wednesday, September 16th , 2026 The Carolina Mudcats triumphed 11-3 over the Augusta GreenJackets at Mudcats Field in the Round 1 to capture it 4-1. The victory advanced the Mudcats to the Round 2. For his superb play in the series, Mudcats left fielder Marco Partida garnered the series MVP trophy, hitting .529, scoring 4 runs and batting in 2. "Only thing better than getting MVP for winning in the playoffs would be winning MVP for winning in the Round 2," Partida said later. "I'll get to work on that." The Carolina Mudcats don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Salem Red Sox - Kannapolis Cannon Ballers series. Salem leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
