Gomez 5-for-5 Against Brooklyn Saturday, July 4th , 2026 The Winston-Salem Dash tripped up the Brooklyn Cyclones, 9-6. The Dash were led by Tony Gomez, their 22-year-old shortstop. Gomez made life miserable for Brooklyn pitchers all day, tagging them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Tony Gomez doubled in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Joel Jeffes in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
