5 Hits for Snappers Tieman Saturday, July 11th , 2026 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Norm Tieman -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Snappers Field and paced the 10-7 Snappers win over the Cedar Rapids Kernels. After his dynamite batting performance, the Beloit shortstop told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Norm Tieman singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. In 53 games this season, Tieman has compiled a .269 batting average with 57 hits and 2 home runs. He has also scored 22 times and knocked in 23 runs. |
