In a game played at Lookouts Field, the Chattanooga third baseman blistered the Biloxi Shuckers for 5 hits in 6 at-bats to pace his club to a good 15-6 victory. "Esquivel was too tough to get out," Shuckers skipper Matt Kelley said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Guadalupe Esquivel singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 7th. This season, Esquivel is hitting .293 with 6 home runs. |
