5-for-5 Day for Westphal Thursday, July 9th , 2026 It was high-fives all around for Josh Westphal at Shuckers Field. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Mississippi Braves. Westphal smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 6-1 win. "Josh was hitting everything," said Shuckers manager Matt Kelley. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Braves manager Travis Mariani told BNN beat writers that Westphal "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Westphal oversleeps next time."
