Injury Shuts Down Coolidge for Season
Monday, July 6th , 2026
The Pensacola Blue Wahoos braced themselves for the news: they would be without starting pitcher Branden Coolidge for the duration of the season. Coolidge suffered bone chips in his elbow on 07/04/2026 and has not played since. The team's manager said he accepted the setback as a challenge.

"We're still focused on one goal," he said.

Coolidge has made 6 starts so far this year and put up a 5-4 won-lost record with a 3.97 ERA. In 47.2 innings he has allowed 52 hits, walked 13 and struck out 29.
