Rico Whips Midland, 18-0 Thursday, June 25th , 2026 It was not a good day at the plate for the Midland RockHounds. They came up empty when it mattered against Springfield Cardinals right-hander Salvador Rico, who scattered 4 hits across 9 innings and held the RockHounds scoreless. "We had 4 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Midland manager Brian Moreno said later. Rico chalked up 7 strikeouts and 1 walk in the 18-0 Cardinals win.
