Nunez Strokes 5 Hits Tuesday, July 15th , 2025 All game long, Minnesota (FCL)'s Joe Nunez was rattling the walls at Target Field and banging out base hits against the Pittsburgh (FCL) Pirates Gold. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Twins had a win, 11-2. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 19-year-old center fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Joe Nunez singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This year, Nunez has batted at a .500 pace with 10 hits, 1 home run, 3 RBIs and scored 6 times. |
