5-for-5 Day for Michael Tuesday, July 1st , 2025 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for John Michael of the Boston (FCL) Red Sox. Michael went on a tear at Fenway Park and cracked hit after hit off Minnesota (FCL) pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 20-year-old catcher had a career 5-for-5 day and something he will long remember. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview. Despite Michael's personal accolades, the Minnesota (FCL) Twins walked off the field with the 17-10 win. John Michael hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. This season, Michael is hitting .450 with 27 hits, no home runs, 5 RBIs, scored 13 runs and played in 15 games. |
