Super Swinger -- Banhart Slams 5 Hits Saturday, June 21st , 2025 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Boston (FCL)'s John Banhart made it happen against the Orioles Orange. Everything came together at the plate for the 20-year-old first baseman as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and helped the Red Sox triumph, 18-3, at Fenway Park. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Banhart said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." John Banhart hit a solo-shot off Jesus Alaniz in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Shuan-yan Phan in the 6th. So far this season, Banhart is hitting .476 with 6 home runs, 12 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 20 hits in 42 at-bats and a .500 OBP. |
