Jazo Goes 5-for-7 Friday, August 29th , 2025 5 times is the charm -- at least for Edgar Jazo. The ACL Athletics center fielder tore up the Cincinnati(ACL) Reds to the tune of 5 hits in 7 at-bats at Great American Ball Park. The offensive onslaught from Jazo powered the 22-7 Athletics win. "Jazo was a tough out," Cincinnati(ACL) manager Buster Stenberg said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Edgar Jazo hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a three-run double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. In 51 games this season, Jazo has compiled a .329 batting average with 71 hits and 11 home runs. He has also scored 48 times and knocked in 42 runs. |
