Pitcher on Fire: 5-for-6 for ACL Wednesday, August 20th , 2025 Chad Pitcher was at the head of a ACL hit parade at Colorado Field. The third baseman went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Athletics to a nice 16-3 victory over the Colorado(ACL) Rockies. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Pitcher told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Rockies skipper David Young said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Chad Pitcher hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Thus far this year, Pitcher has hit .358 with 6 home runs and 38 RBIs. |
