Sullivan Blisters Colorado(ACL) Wednesday, August 6th , 2025 A jubilant Curt Sullivan joined the postgame press conference at Sutter Health Park to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Colorado(ACL) Rockies pitching staff he had just vanquished. "It may not have looked like it," said the ACL Athletics right fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different." That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-7 hitting performance, which led to the 25-6 Athletics win. "He made it look easy," said David Young, manager of the Rockies. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously." Curt Sullivan singled in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, tripled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. This season, Sullivan is batting .425 with 82 hits, 13 home runs, 52 RBIs, 16 walks, .477 OBP and has scored 40 runs. He has played in 46 games. |
