Hitting Streak Still Alive for Valdez Monday, July 14th , 2025 With 2 hits at Royals Gold Park, Ismael Valdez added another game to his hitting streak -- the Texas(ACL) center fielder has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Rangers, as they fell, 4-3, to the Kansas City(ACL) Royals Gold. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Kansas City(ACL) manager Jason Bell said later. "I'll let him get 4 hits in 4 at-bats if it means we get a win." Ismael Valdez struck out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and grounded out in the 10th. In 28 games this season, Valdez is batting .360 with 45 hits and 12 home runs. He has scored 23 runs and driven in 28. |
