Eagle Cracks 5 Hits Sunday, July 13th , 2025 Even as a kid, John Eagle said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Rate Field, Eagle showed how well he learned that lesson. The 19-year-old second baseman had 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Cleveland(ACL) Guardians, helping his team knock off the Chicago A(ACL) White Sox by a score of 12-11. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did." John Eagle tripled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 7th. |
