5-Hit Game for Sandoval Tuesday, July 8th , 2025 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Oscar Sandoval -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage and sparkled on the diamond at Ballpark of San Francisco(ACL), but the performance lost a little luster when the Giants Black were downed, 5-3, by the San Diego(ACL) Padres. After his glittering performance, the San Francisco(ACL) third baseman told the press that he "just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat." His batting theory paid dividends today as he slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. "I just wish we had added a win in the record book, too," Sandoval said. Oscar Sandoval singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. This season, Sandoval is batting .378 with 34 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 12 times and has 12 runs batted in. |
