Meyers Jacks 3 into the Stands
Sunday, June 22nd , 2025
Texas(ACL) Rangers third baseman Ray Meyers put on a dazzling display of power at Brewers Gold Park against the Milwaukee(ACL) Brewers Gold. In the 8-4 Rangers victory, Meyers penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts.
"He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Milwaukee(ACL) manager Taylor Goddard said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well."
Along with his three home runs, the 23-year-old had 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Meyers said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today."
Ray Meyers struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Tse-tung Tseng in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Tse-tung Tseng in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Ken Walker in the 9th.
In 8 games this season, Meyers is batting .444 with 16 hits and 6 home runs. He has scored 10 runs and driven in 13.
