Zapeta Collects Cycle

Xavier Zapeta had a special day at Storm Field, contributing to the 7-6 Lake Elsinore Storm win and hitting for the cycle along the way.
The 22-year-old left fielder went 4-for-4, raking a single, double, triple and home run against the Inland Empire 66ers.
"Boy, Xavier had himself a ballgame, didn't he?" Lake Elsinore manager Brent Gerhardt said later. "You don't see that very often."
For the day, Zapeta finished with 6 RBI and 1 run scored to go with his 4 hits.
Xavier Zapeta hit a three-run home run off Wayne Partridge in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run triple in the 5th and hit an RBI double in the 7th.
For the season, Zapeta is currently batting .346 with 19 home runs and 58 RBIs. In 59 games he has reached base at a .409 rate and scored 46 runs to date.
