Thrice Is Nice: Sutton Unloads 3 Homers
Sunday, May 18th , 2025
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Brian Sutton did at Ballpark of Charleston, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 10-5.

"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Sutton said. "Good things happen, when that happens."

The Charleston RiverDogs first baseman blistered the Salem Red Sox for 4 hits, batted in 6 runs and scored 4 times.

"It ain't like we weren't trying," Salem manager Savion Ellis said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."

Brian Sutton singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ricardo Marin in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Jeremy Shearer in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Justin Jones in the 8th.

Sutton currently has a .310 batting average with 22 hits, 4 homers, 11 RBIs, 9 runs scored and a .347 OBP.
