Carolina Shuts Out Down East, 4-0 Sunday, May 4th , 2025 Rafael Rivera kept the Down East Wood Ducks hitters from doing much damage at Mudcats Field. Down East could only muster 7 hits and draw 1 walk against the right-handed Rivera, who controlled them throughout the game. Carolina won the contest, 4-0. Rivera added 4 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Rivera told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time." |
