Green Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Monday, April 21st , 2025 Mark Green exploded for a barrage of base hits at Shorebirds Stadium. The Delmarva first baseman had a field day in his team's 11-0 triumph over the Down East Wood Ducks, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Green must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Mark Green singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Thus far this season in 5 games, Green is batting .565 with no home runs, 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored. He has 13 hits in 23 at-bats. |
