Villalpando Sensational, 5-for-5 Sunday, April 20th , 2025 Today at Pelicans Grounds, the Carolina Mudcats topped the Myrtle Beach Pelicans in spite of a standout batting performance by center fielder Tony Villalpando. Villalpando had a very impressive day at the plate, spanking Carolina pitching for 5 base hits, but couldn't do enough for a win. Carolina whipped Myrtle Beach by the score of 10-2. Tony Villalpando singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. So far this year in 10 games, Villalpando is hitting .275 with 1 home run, 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored. |
