Oake Earns CAR's Best Pitcher Honor Monday, June 1st , 2026 Down East Wood Ducks fans lauded the selection of reliever Dave Oake as Carolina League Pitcher of the Month for May. The 23-year-old hurler was nothing short of masterful, holding enemy hitters to a .220 average. In 12 relief appearances he put up a 3-0 record, 8 saves, 16 strikeouts and an ERA of 0.64 over 14 innings. This season, Oake has made 19 relief appearances, saving 10. His record is 4-0 with 26 strikeouts in 24 innings and a 1.88 ERA. |
