Myrtle Beach-Lynchburg Brawl, Batstone and Jongman Suspended Monday, May 25th , 2026 If there wasn't a history between Mike Batstone of Myrtle Beach and Donny Jongman of Lynchburg, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 3 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Batstone said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." This year, Batstone has collected a .344 batting average to date with 56 hits in 163 at-bats, 12 RBIs, 3 home runs and scored 22 times. He has played in 40 games. |
