For the day, the Charleston first baseman went 4-for-5 against Augusta with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the RiverDogs to the 8-4 win. "I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out." Ryan Briggs grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jose Gonzalez in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jose Gonzalez in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Humberto Lujan in the 8th.
